This is Jordan’s apparatus video submission for the Live Oak Elementary School’s Eggstreme Endeavor Contest. His apparatus is called Bubble Egg. It is made out of recycled materials such as mailer bubble wrap and a toy parachute. The weight of the apparatus excluding the egg is 2 ounces. The height of the drop from our 2nd floor balcony was approximately 35 feet.
Overall, Jordan enjoyed this project and was very surprised that the same egg survived 3 drops. He also ate that same egg for breakfast the next day! Great job Jordan!
Contest Update – For each grade level, winners were selected for 3 categories (Drop Height, Apparatus Weight and Overall Creativity). Jordan won the 3rd Grade Overall Creativity category.
